At Savannah Bee Company, we are proud to offer a variety of unpasteurized honeys, and we value transparency when it comes to labeling products as raw.
What Is Raw Honey?
"Raw honey" refers to honey that has not been pasteurized and retains its natural enzymes, pollen, and nutrients. While all of our honeys are unpasteurized, some require slightly more warmth during filtering and are not classified as raw.
Honeys That Are Considered Raw
These honeys are gently filtered and only briefly warmed to low temperatures (under 5 minutes):
• Acacia Honey
• Sourwood Honey
• Lavender Honey
• Tupelo Honey
Looking for the Purest Raw Honey Experience?
Our Raw Honeycomb is the ultimate choice — cut straight from the hive, untouched by any filtering or processing.
Honeys That Are Not Considered Raw
Some varieties require slightly higher temperatures during filtering. These are still unpasteurized but not labeled as raw:
• Orange Blossom Honey
• Wildflower Honey
• Black Sage Honey
• Specialty honeys (e.g., Hot Honey, Whipped Honeys)
How Can I Tell If a Honey Is Raw?
Check the product label — if it's raw, you'll see "Raw Honey" printed directly under the honey type.
